About The Job
We’re recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join the dedicated team at St. Piers School.
In this rewarding role, you’ll work under the guidance of a teacher, supporting children throughout
their school journey. You’ll play a key part in helping to plan and deliver engaging, meaningful
learning experiences that empower students to achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day, your role will include but not limited to:
• Putting the students at the heart of everything we do
• Helping to create a safe learning environment where all students are encouraged, and
enabled, to achieve their full potential
• Enabling students to access learning, using needs-specific, personalised approaches, both
with 1:1 and group learning activities
• Assisting Tutors in the delivery of their lessons
• Contributing to tracking students’ achievements against their learning objectives
• Facilitating learning activities for students to build their skills and knowledge

St Piers sits in the Education Directorate of Young Epilepsy, the leading national charity working
exclusively to improve the lives of children and young people with epilepsy or associated conditions.
We are a non-maintained residential special school for 4–25-year-olds, and we are an innovative and
creative School and College for students with SEND, and a large percentage of our cohort have
Epilepsy, autism, and severe learning difficulties, along with communication difficulties.
